Hello again everyone,

I just had a thought about gathering some information, which might be very helpful the next three weeks as we approach November 3.

Please send me any information about any of the newly consolidated
school units, which are having any kind of problems with their consolidation efforts.

For example, Pownal found out that there taxes went up 25% this year because of consolidation.  Another example-  AOS 92, Waterville, Winslow, and Vassalboro are returning the control and payment of transportation services and spec ed to the three individual towns.

My intention is to publish a list of communities which are having problems with consolidation.  That may be the best way to convince the public that consolidation is not working and creating more problems for the education of our children than it is saving money.  Please be accurate.  Also if there are some success stories to consolidation, please send those along.

Please send these examples as soon as possible.
