Good afternoon everyone,

Well, the day which we have all worked for has finally arrived. Two years of a labor of love by so many wonderful, special Maine people who care about our students, our schools, and our taxpayers.

If anyone wishes to call me with election results of their town tonight, I'd be happy to receive them. My phone number is 460-1260. I probably won't be available until after 9:30 PM tonight because I have a school board meeting, but please call if you have anything to report.

There have been 150 citizens vote in Stonington as of noon, and Rep. Rob Eaton, who lives in Sullivan, told me that the voting was brisk there this morning. I wonder if the Secretary of State's estimate of 35% is low. We certainly have the weather with us compared to two years ago when we collected signatures. It rained, and there was a low turnout if anyone remembers.

Here is hoping for a good victory today to repeal the school consolidation law. You all are the best of the best which Maine calls her daughters and sons.

With much respect and great hope for repeal,
Skip
