I noticed the governor slammed the repeal effort pretty hard in his 
speech, but I also noticed he intends to extend the laptops to grades 
9-12.  As you posted the "Did you know" video Dick, I expect you and 
others on the list would have an opinion on that, or at least an 
interest in keeping up with the funding proposals for it.  I wrote a 
small piece in favor (with the obvious reservations) at 
http://edtech-nohype.blogspot.com/  so perhaps that could be a place to 
widen the conversation.  I am interested in IT funding (TCO) for 
schools, so I still have questions  :)
