[Local-Maine-Schools] ON TO THE SENATE

Thank you Dick and ALL. Keep the pressure on. Those of you whom have not
sent in a letter please consider doing so now. A two-inch plus thick
packet of paper resolutions and letters pluncked on the desk of a legislator
has meaning and purpose. For those of you that are sick of the issue, your
Board declined to be involved because they are fed up! Ask them to
reconsider. This is a Maine issue and the more reponses we can include in
a packet the greater our chances of success in convincing Senators (from
districts that didn't have to lift a finger to claim to be a consolidated)
to support this LD. WE ABSOLUTELY NEED SOUTHERN MAINE DEMS TO SUPPORT OR WE
FAIL Simple as that, Again, if the penalty is not delayed (even if repeal
is successful in November) we are still fined for our disobedience in the
eyes of State governance. Please act and soon. Thanks Mark

As I am sure you know the House passed the penalty bill by 111 to 33 if I
remember the talley correctly. It is now in the Senate. It will help if
you contact your Senator this morning.
