[Local-Maine-Schools] Verizon address change and the Schools list

(With apologies to the 200+ Local Maine Schools list members who were 
not Verizon customers -- you can ignore this.)

Those of you with (former) verizon email addresses are aware that these 
addresses are being (very clumsily) changed to myfairpoint addresses. 
To avoid bounces when mail is sent out from the Local Maine Schools list 
in the future, I am going to change the 16 verizon addresses on the list 
to myfairpoint addresses this evening.  However, that change will not 
take effect for each of you until you respond to an automatic email you 
will be getting with a subject line that looks like some kind of spam or 
physhing expedition, something like:

    confirm 9b1a53f8108f94106b9899814b1dbb2ff4c9f0

All you need to do is click on the link in the message and then click 
the "Change address" button on the web page it takes you to (or you can 
reply to the message as instructed).  I'd very much appreciate it if you 
would take that step.  Alternatively, if you'd prefer not to be on the 
list, please use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of this page.

PS: Although it's probably obvious -- once the change goes into effect, 
if you want to post to the list, you will have to send the message from 
your myfairpoint address.
