Good morning everyone,

We are pleased to announce that we shall be filing our petition to repeal the school consolidation law on Friday, October 17, 2008 with the Secretary of State at 10 AM on the north side of the Burton Cross State Office Building. Anyone who wishes to join us is encouraged and most welcome to do so.

This has been an incredible effort by many people from all over the State of Maine. We thank you for all the hard work. We trust and hope that this wrok will result in the repeal of the school consolidation law by members of the 124th Legislature.

As of this writing, we will submit 59485 certified signatures. The minimum requirement is 55087 signatures.

We regret that we could not file the petition on a Saturday when more people could attend, but of course, state government is not open on Sat-
urday. If you are able to attend, please do so.

Thank you to everyone for all the incredibly hard work, which has made the filing of the petition possible.

Sincerely,
Skip
