[Local-Maine-Schools] Reconciled by Committee of Conference, LD 1932 returns to Senate

[Passing this information along from the Legislature]
In case you hadn't already heard, the Committee of Conference voted
unanimously to send 1932 to the Senate as follows:
-all original majority report language, except the budget validation
delay, is IN,
-budget validation delay is OUT
-all House amendments are IN, with a minor language change on the
Carter Amendment
-emergency preamble is retained.
It'll go to the Senate early next week. As a Committee of Conference
report it cannot be amended, just accepted or rejected. Most of the
Senate R's and some House R's who voted no on 1932 have now said
they'll now support it with the budget validation delay taken out.
Most of the Senate D's are now saying they're okay with the Carter
Amendment. So at this point there seems to be some cause for
optimism....
